We’re excited to announce a new collaboration that will allow users to deploy FXRP to Firelight via MoreMarkets at launch. This integration lets XRP holders earn sustainable rewards by providing insurance coverage to DeFi protocols, essentially staking XRP to secure DeFi while earning fees from protocols that buy that protection.
Unlocking XRP’s Yield Potential
Through this partnership, MoreMarkets users will be able to earn rewards on their XRP through Firelight. MoreMarkets XRP Flare Account will deploy FXRP to Firelight's vaults, minting stXRP, a 1:1 backed liquid staking token that can be used across Flare Network’s DeFi ecosystem, while earning points in Firelight’s launch program.
As Firelight moves towards Phase 2 of the rollout, in which tokens are deployed towards DeFi cover, MoreMarkets accounts will contribute to this mechanism, creating a sustainable source of rewards based on real market demand. In this phase, tokens deployed on Firelight are entitled to their proportion of fees generated from cover. Meanwhile for protocols, they integrate on-chain coverage directly to their products.
